Lovely striped bark and graceful habit
This tree is a tall, slim variety, with snakebark – meaning the bark stripes in gorgeous lines of white and green. With large, green, oval leaves on scarlet stalks, this tree is an interesting addition to a garden, with yellow flowers in spring, which droop from racemes. The tree also gives attractive, inedible berries in autumn, which are flushed pink as they grow, slowly turning brown as they ripen.
